India started off the season with a series win in Sri Lanka and are now going to play against New Zealand. New Zealand recently had lost the series against West Indies and the team really needs to get themselves back ahead of the T20 World Cup coming up after the India tour.
For India the series will be a new change to the team. With Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman already retired, it will be an opportunity for the young players to get in their shows and perform for India. Indian team has to work on their bowling a lot. They lost 8 Test in there last overseas outing and than came back with a win against West Indies. This is the start of new season before they play England and Australia at home later in the year.
New Zealand on the other hand, are a depleted side in the absence of Daniel Vettori. They really need to get themselves going in this series. Pace bowling is their strength, with Chris Martin leading an attack that comprises Tim Southee, Doug Bracewell, Trent Boult and Neil Wagner. It will be interesting to see how they hold back Indian batting line-up on a batting pitch in Hyderabad.
