Pakistan the world no. 1 test team will face Pakistan in the first of the three match test series at the Johannesburg. South Africa will be the clear favorites but Pakistan has a good bowling attack too. This is Graeme Smiths 100th Test as a skipper, the first one to achieve it and the team will look for a win as gift to Smith. Pace bowling will be all that will go into the first test with South Africa having a top class batting order it will bowlers who will be in the spot light right through the test.

Pakistan played well in the warm-up games played against South African Invitational XI with both opener Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed scoring runs but the middle order is the one to worry about. None of the middle order batsman except skipper Misbah-ul-Haq scored and thats one are where Pakistan hasve to work on. Pakistan bowling has been outstanding led by Umar Gul, Junaid Khan and uncapped players Mohammad Irfan and Ehsan Adil. Junaid Khan bowled exceptionally in the last series against India and Mohammad Irfan too impressed. If Irfan could use his height in the right way to swing then it can be very destructive for the Pakistanis. In all we are going to see a tough challenging series full of excitement.
